UK National Commission for UNESCO
The UK National Commission for UNESCO (UKNC) supports the UK’s contribution to UNESCO and brings the benefits of UNESCO to the UK. We are the hub for all UNESCO-related matters in the UK. The UKNC is contracted by the UK Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to deliver the Newton Prize.
We will be celebrating with the winners of the 2019 Newton Prize at our awards ceremony in London on Wednesday 12 February 2020. Here we will announce the next partner countries for the Newton Prize 2020. You will be able to begin your application for the Newton Prize 2020 on Tuesday 10 March.
The Newton Prize is an annual £1 million fund which recognises the excellent research and innovation the Newton Fund has invested in since its launch in 2014.
